IS 9096 : 2006 Preservation of Bamboo for Structural Purposes - Code of Practice

1 Scope

1.1 This standard covers types of preservatives andtreatment procedures of bamboos used for structuralpurposes like post, scaffoldings, house building, walls,trusses, etc. It also includes recommendations on thechoice of treatment depending upon the various usesto which the bamboo is put.

1.2 This standard does not cover the treatment ofbamboo for non-structural purposes, which is coveredin IS 1902.
