1 Scope

Covers requirements for battery locomotives having double axledrive and ventilated type battery box for use in mines and otherindustrial areas.

1.1 This standard also covers the battery locomotives withflameproof characteristics (see 5.1, 7.9.1, 7.9.1.1, 7.9.8.1 and12.3) for use in underground coal mines and other hazardousindustrial areas with restricted applications.
