1. Scope

1.1 This standard applies to all types of circuit-breakers with rated voltages above 1 000 V intended to be used for switching the connection between two parts of a three-phase system, during out-of-phase conditions.

NOTE - The tests specified in this standard are made only if an out-of-phase breaking capacity has been assigned to the circuit-breaker by the manufacturer.
