1 Scope

1.1 This standard (Part 15) covers the chemical composition, mechanicalproperties, hardenability and isothermal transformation characteristics of 37C15grade steel for use by automobile and ancillary industry.

1.2 This is an unalloyed steel, intended to be used in the hardened andtempered condition.
