1 Scope

1.1 This standard (Part 16) covers the chemical composition, mechanicalproperties, hardenability and isothermal transformation characteristics of35Mn6Mo3 grade of steel for use by automobile and ancillary industry.

1.2 This is a low alloy steel intended to be used in the hardened andtempered condition.
