1 Scope

1.1 This standard (Part 24) covers the chemical composition,mechanical properties, hardenability and isothermal transformationcharacteristics of 35Ni5Cr2 (35NilCr60) grade of steel for use byautomobile and ancillary industry.

1.2 This is an alloy steel intended to be used in the hardenedand tempered condition.
