IS 9177 : 1979 Method for specifying the functional performance of stabilized power supply apparatus

1 Scope

1.1 This standard applies to This apparatus:

a) Supply apparatus with stabilization, which is designed tosupply calibrated values of voltage and/or current in connectionwith electrical measurement; and

b) Accessories used with this apparatus.

Note - A supply apparatus designed to supply calibrated valuesis characterized by having a specified accuracy under referenceconditions, which is of the order of its stabilization. Toapparatus falling within this scope the same performance concept isapplied as to electronic measuring equipment in general.

The opposite case is a supply apparatus having an accuracy underreference conditions which is appreciably lower than itsstabilization performance. It is not advisable to specify suchapparatus in accordance with this standard.

1.2 Safety requirements are not dealt with in this standard.
