IS 9204 : 1979 Marking of servicing, maintenance, ground handling and safety hazard points on aircraft

1 Scope

Specifies the symbols, their positions and sizes to be used for the markingof servicing, maintenance, ground handling and safety/hazard points onaircrafts, to enable them to be quickly identified during intermediate stops onscheduled flights and during scheduled maintenance checks. It also covers therequirements for warning markings to prevent damage to the equipment or injuryto personnel, and for the marking of hatches.

1.1 This standard does not cover emergency markings and the materials to beused for markings.
