1 Scope

Lays down the shock-resistant properties of wrist watches forgeneral use and specifies the methods of test for the verificationof these properties.

1.1 This standard is meant for product confirmation test and notfor checking each individual watch in production since the test maycause alteration in the rate of the watch, necessitatingreadjustment even if the minimum requirements have been satisfied.
