IS 9348 : 1998/IEC 358 : 1990 Coupling capacitor and capacitor dividers

This Indian Standard which is identical with IEC 358 (1990)`Coupling capacitors and capacitor dividers issued by theInternational Electrotechnical Commission was adopted by the Bureauof Indian Standards on the recommendations of the Power CapacitorsSectional Committee (ET 29) and approval of the ElectrotechnicalDivision Council.

The text of the IEC Standard has been approved as suitable forpublication as Indian Standard without deviations. This standardsupersedes the contents of IS 9348 : 1979 and constitutes itstechnical revision.

In the adopted standard, certain terminology and conventions are not identical to those used In Indian Standards. Attention is specially drawn to the following:

a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’.

b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker while in Indian Standard, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
