1. SCOPE

This standard lays down recommendations for welding high strength steel bars conforming to grades Fe 415, Fe 415D, Fe 500 and Fe 500D of IS 1786 by flash butt welding, shielded metal arc welding, gas pressure welding and gas metal arc welding (GMAW) using CO₂.
