1 Scope

1.1 This standard covers six grades of carbon and low alloy steel forgingsused in the construction of fired and unfired pressure vessels.

1.1.1 The term forgings used in this standard shall include forgedfittings, covers, heads, component sections or complete vessels intended forcontainment of gaseous or liquid material under pressure.
