NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 2) (Second Revision) which is a modified adoption of ISO 6526 : 2017 ‘Plain bearings - Pressed bimetallic half thrust washers - Features and tolerances’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Bearings Sectional Committee and approval of the Production and General Engineering Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 1981 and subsequently revised in 1994. The first revision was based on ISO 6526 : 1983, ‘Plain bearings - Pressed bimetallic half thrust washers - Features and tolerances’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The second revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 6526 : 2017.

This Indian standard specifies the main features and tolerances for pressed bimetallic half thrust washers having an outside diameter up to 160 mm. The main dimensions for the half thrust washers are not covered in this standard.
