IS 9806 : 2001 Methods of Test for and Permissible Limits of Toxic Materials Released from Ceramicware, Vitreous Enamelware, Glassware and Glass-cerami

1 Scope

This standard prescribes the methods of test for and permissiblelimits of toxic materials released from ceramicware, vitreousenamelware, glassware and glass-ceramicware used in preparation,storage, cooking or serving of food and beverages.

Note - Foodware and crockery of china, porcelain, stoneware andearthenware quality whether glazed or not are covered by thisstandard. This standard, however, does not cover such items as areused in food manufacturing industries or those in which food issold.
