IS/CISPR 32 : 2015 Electromagnetic Compatibility of Multimedia Equipment - Emission Requirements
Reaffirmed 2022
NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard which is identical with CISPR 32 : 2015 Electromagnetic compatibility of multimedia equipment - Emission requirements’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Electromagnetic Compatibility Sectional Committee and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.
IEC has withdrawn:
a) CISPR 13 : 2015 ‘Sound and television broadcast receivers and associated equipment - Radio disturbance characteristics - Limits and methods of measurement’ and
b) CISPR 22 : 2008 ‘Information technology equipment - Radio disturbance characteristics - Limits and methods of measurement’.
However, India had already adopted CISPR 13 : 2009 as IS 6873 (Part 3) : 2015 and CISPR 22 : 2008 as IS 6873 (Part 7) : 2012 as identical standard. As IS 6873 (Part 3) : 2015/CISPR 13 : 2009 and IS 6873 (Part 7) : 2012/CISPR 22 : 2008 are widely being used by ndustry/laboratories and also referred in many Indian Standards as well as in regulatory requirements, for example in Telecom Engineering Centre (TEC) Generic requirements (GR) and Interface Requirements (IR).
Therefore, IS 6873 (Part 3) : 2015/CISPR 13 : 2009 and IS 6873 (Part 7) : 2012/CISPR 22 : 2008 would continue to exist till 31 March 2021.
The text of the IEC standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain terminologies and conventions are, however, not identical to those used in the Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:
a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’.
b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker, while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
