IS/IEC 41 : 1991 Field Acceptance Tests to Determine the Hydraulic Performance of Hydraulic Turbines, Storage Pumps and Pump Turbines

NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard, which is identical with IEC Pub 41(1991) ‘Field acceptance tests to determine the hydraulic performance of hydraulic turbines, storage~pumps and pump-turbines’, issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of Rotating Machinery Sectional Committee (ETD 15) and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.

In the adopted standard certain terminology and conventions are not identical withthose used in Indian Standards, attention is specially drawn to the following:

a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear, referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’.

b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker while in Indian Standard, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.

Only the English language text in the International Standard has been retained while adopting it in this Indian Standard.
