NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 2/Sec 2) which is identical with IEC 60068-2-2 : 2007 ‘Environmental testing - Part 2-2: Tests - Test B: Dry heat’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendations of the Environmental Testing Procedure Sectional Committee, and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.

IS 9000 (Part 3/Sec 1 to 5) : 1977 ‘Basic environmental testing procedures for electronic and electrical items: Part 3 Dry heat test, Section 1 to 5’ and IS 9002 (Part 2) : 1977 ‘Specification for equipment and environmental tests for electronic and electrical items: Part 2 Chamber for dry heat tests’ were published in 1977 and were largely based on IEC Pub 68-2-2 : 1974. The superseding of these Standards has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of IEC 60068- 2-2 : 2007. On the publication of this standard the above mentioned Indian standards stands withdrawn.
