This Indian Standard (Part 6) (Second Revision) is identical with IEC 60079-6 : 2016 + Amd 1 : 2020 ‘Explosive atmospheres — Part 6 Equipment protection by liquid immersion “o”’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Electrical Apparatus for Explosive Atmosphere Sectional Committee and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.

This revision has been undertaken to align with the latest version of IEC 60079-6 : 2016 + Amd 1 : 2020
