NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 9) (First Revision) which is identical with IEC 60130-9 : 2011 ‘Connectors for frequencies below 3 MHz - Part 9: Circular connectors for radio and associated sound equipment’ issued by the International Electro technical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Electromechanical Components and Mechanical Structures for Electronic Equipment’s Sectional Committee and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.

This Indian Standard was originally published in 1986 and was based on IEC 60130-9 : 1971, IEC 60130-9A : 1975 and IEC 60130-9B : 1975. IEC 60130-9 : 1971 has been revised as IEC 60130-9 : 2011 and rest of the referred standards that is, IEC 60130-9A : 1975 and IEC 60130-9B : 1975 have been withdrawn. IS 11777 (Part 1) : 1986 has now been superseded by IEC 60130-9 : 2011 to align it with the latest publication of IEC 60130-9 : 2011.
