NATIONAL FOREWORD

This draft Indian Standard (Part 2) (First Revision) which is identical with IEC 60479-2 : 2019 ‘Effects of current on human beings and livestock - Part 2: Special aspects’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Electrical Installations Sectional Committee and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.

This standards was originally published in 2014 as IS/IEC 60479-2 : 2007. The first revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest Version of IEC 60479-2 : 2019.
