NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard which is identical with IEC 60519-3 : 2005 ‘ Safety in electroheat installations - Part 3: Particular requirements for induction and conduction heating and induction melting installations’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Industrial Process Measurement and Control Sectional Committee and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.

This standard superseding IS/IEC 519-3 : 1988 ‘Safety in electroheat installations Part 3 Particular requirements for induction and conduction heating and induction melting installations’. After the publication of this standard, IS/IEC 519-3 : 1988 shall be treated as withdrawn.
