NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 6) which is identical with IEC 60519-6 : 2022 ‘Safety in installations for electroheating and electromagnetic processing - Part 6: Particular requirements for high frequency dielectric and microwave heating and processing equipment’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Basic Industrial Process Measurement And Control Sectional Committee and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.

This standard superseding IS/IEC 519-9 : 1987 ‘Safety in electroheat installations : Part 9 Particular requirements for high frequency dielectric heating installations’, identical with IEC 519-9 : 1987. After the publication of this standard, IS/IEC 519-9 : 1987 shall be treated as withdrawn.
