This Indian Standard (Part 1) which is identical with IEC 60603-1 : 1991 ‘Connectors for frequencies below 3 MHz for use with printed boards — Part 1: Generic specification — General requirements and guide for the preparation of detail specifications, with assessed quality’ issued by the International Electro technical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Electromechanical Components and Mechanical Structures for Electronic Equipment’s Sectional Committee and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.
