This Indian Standard (Part 12) which is identical with IEC 60603-12 : 1992 ‘Connectors for frequencies below 3 MHz for use with printed boards - Part 12: Detail specification for dimensions, general requirements and tests for a range of sockets designed for use with integrated circuits’ issued by the International Electro technical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Electromechanical Components and Mechanical Structures for Electronic Equipment’s Sectional Committee and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.
