NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Standard (Part 2/Sec 1) (First Revision) which is identical with IEC 60669-2-1 : 2021 ‘Switches for household and similar fixed electrical installations - Part 2-1: Particular requirements - Electronic control devices’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Electrical Wiring Accessories Sectional Committee and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.

This standard was first published in 2017 which was technically equivalent with IEC publication 60669- 2-1. The first revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of IEC 60669-2-1.
