NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 6/Sec 1) (First Revision) which is identical with IEC 60947-6-1 : 2021 ‘Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear - Part 6-1: Multiple function equipment - Transfer switching equipment’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Low Voltage Switchgear And Controlgear Sectional Committee and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.

This standard was first published in 2020 which was identical to IEC 60947-6-1 : 2013. This revision of IS/IEC 60947-6-1 : 2013 has been undertaken to align this standard with the latest international practices.
