This Indian Standard which is identical with IEC 61746 : 2005 'Calibration of optical time-domain reflectometers (OTDR)' issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Fibre Optics, Fibres Cables and Devices Sectional Committee and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology DivisiOn Council.
