NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard which is identical with IEC 62083 : 2009 ‘Medical electrical equipment - Requirements for the safety of radiotherapy treatment planning systems’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Electromedical and Diagnostic Imaging and Radiotherapy Equipment Sectional Committee and approval of the Medical Equipment and Hospital Planning Division Council.
