NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 105) (Second Revision) which is identical with IEC 62271-105 : 2021 ‘Highvoltage switchgear and controlgear - Part 105: Alternating current switch-fuse combinations for rated voltages above 1 Kv up to and including 52 Kv’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the High Voltage Switchgear And Controlgear Sectional Committee and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.

This standard was first published in 2002 and was identical with IEC 62271-105 : 2002. This IEC standard has since been revised as IEC 62271-105 : 2012. This revision has been undertaken to align this standard with the latest international practices.
