This Indian Standard (Part 200) (Second Revision) which is identical with IEC 62271-200 : 2021 ‘Highvoltage switchgear and controlgear - Part 200: a.c. metal-enclosed switchgear and controlgear for rated voltages above 1 kV and up to and Including 52 kV’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the High Voltage Switchgear And Controlgear Sectional Committee and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.

This standard was first published in 2018 identical to IEC 62271-200 : 2011. This revision has been undertaken to align this standard with the latest international practices.
