NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard (Part 3) (Third Revision) which is Identical to IEC 62351-3 : 2023 'Power systems management and associated information exchange - Data and communications security - Part 3: Communication network and system security - Profiles Including TCP/IP' issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendations of the Power System Control and Associated Communication Sectional Committee and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.
This standard was originally published in 2007 and was Identical with IEC 62351-3 : 2007. The first revision was published in 2014 and was identical to IEC 62351-3 : 2014. The second revision was published in 2022 and was identical with IEC 62351-3 : 2020. The third revision of this Standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of IEC 62351-3 : 2023.
The text of IEC standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain conventions are however not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:
a) Wherever the words 'International Standard' appears referring to this standard, they should be read as 'Indian Standard'; and
b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
