NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 6) (First Revision) which is identical with IEC 62351-6 : 2020 ‘Power systems management and associated information exchange data and communications security - Part 6: Security for IEC 61850’ was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Power System Control and Associated Communications Sectional Committee,and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.

This Standard was originally published in 2013 which was identical with IEC/TS 62351-6 : 2007 ‘Power systems management and associated information exchange - Data and communications security - Part 6: Security for IEC 61850’. The first revision of this Standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of IEC 62351-6 : 2020.
