NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 4) which is identical with IEC 63093-4 : 2019 ‘Ferrite cores – Guidelines on dimensions and the limits of surface irregularities - Part 4 : RM-cores’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendations of the Magnetic Components, Ferrite Materials, Piezoelectric and Frequency Control Devices Sectional Committee and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.

IS 7934 was originally published in 1981 and was based on IEC 60431 : 1971 - Dimensions of the Square cores (RMcores) made of Magnetic oxides and associated parts, IEC 60431A (1976)-First Supplement to publication IEC 60431 (1973) and IEC 60431B (1978)-Second Supplement to publication IEC 60431(1973). These IEC standards were later published as IEC 63093-4: 2019. The superseding of the above mentioned Indian Standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of IEC 63093-4 : 2019 and on publication of this standard, IS 7934: 1981 will be withdrawn.
