NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 2/Sec 35) which is identical with IEC 80601-2-35 : 2009 ‘Medical electrical equipment — Part 2-35: Particular requirements for the basic safety and essential performance of heating devices using blankets, pads or mattresses and intended for heating in medical use’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Electromedical and Diagnostic Imaging and Radiotherapy Equipment Sectional Committee and approval of the Medical Equipment and Hospital Planning Division Council.
