IS/IEC/TR 62655 : 2013 Tutorial and Application Guide for High-Voltage Fuses
(Superseding IS 12534 : 1988 & IS 9385 (Part 3) : 1980)
NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard is identical to IEC/TR 62655 : 2013 'Tutorial and application guide for high-voltage fuses' issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Fuses Sectional Committee and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.
This standard supersedes, IS 12534 : 1988 Application guide for the selection of high voltage fuses for transformer circuit applications and IS 9385 (Part 3) : 1980, Specification for high voltage fuses Part III Application guide high voltage vuses.
The text of IEC Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain terminology and conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:
a) Wherever the words 'International Standard' appear referring to this standard, they should be read as 'Indian Standard'; and
b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker, while in Indian Standards the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
