NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard (Part 2) which is identical with IEC TS 61970-2 : 2004 ‘Energy management system application program interface (EMS-API) — Part 2: Glossary’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Power System Control and Associated Communications Sectional Committee and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.
This standard is one of the parts of a series of standards on ‘Energy management system application program interface (EMS-API)’. The other parts in this series are:
Part 1 Guidelines and general requirements
Part 301 Common information model (CIM) base
Part 401 Component interface specification (CIS) framework
Part 452 CIM model exchange specification
The text of IEC Technical Specification has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain terminology and conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:
a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’.
b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
