NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard which is identical to IEC/TS 62371 : 2008 ‘Characteristics of hollow pressurised and unpressurised ceramic and glass insulators for use in electrical equipment with rated voltages greater than 1 000 V’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Electrical Insulators and Accessories Sectional Committee and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.
