NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 1) (First Revision) which is identical with ISO 10303-1 : 2021 ‘Industrial Automation Systems and Integration - Product Data Representation and Exchange - Part 1 : Overview and Fundamental Principles’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Industrial and Production Automation Systems and Robotics Sectional Committee and approval of the Production and General Engineering Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 1994. The first revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 10303-1.
