NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part N04) which is identical with ISO 105-N04 : 1993 ‘Textiles - Tests for colour fastness - Part N04: Colour fastness to bleaching: Sodium chlorite (severe) issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Chemical Methods of Test Sectional Committee and approval of the Textile Division Council.

This Indian Standards supersedes IS 987 : 1988 ‘Method for determination of colour fastness of Textile Materials to Bleaching with Sodium chlorite (first revision )’.
