NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Par 18) which is identical with ISO 10993-18 : 2020 ‘Biological evaluation of medical devices - Part 18: Chemical characterization of medical device materials within a risk management process’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Biological Evaluation of In-vitro Diagnostic Medical Devices Sectional Committee and approval of the Medical Equipment and Hospital Planning Division Council.
