IS/ISO 11119 : Part 1 : 2020 Gas Cylinders - Design, Construction and Testing of Refillable Composite Gas Cylinders and Tubes - Part 1 Hoop Wrapped Fibre Reinforced Composite Gas Cylinders and Tubes up to 450 Litres
NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard which is identical to ISO 11119-1 : 2020 'Gas cylinders - Design, construction and testing of refillable composite gas cylinders and tubes - Part 1: Hoop wrapped fibre reinforced composite gas cylinders and tubes up to 450 l' issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Gas Cylinders Sectional Committee and approval of the Mechanical Engineering Division Council.
While implementing this standard, the manufacturer and the inspection agency shall ensure compliance with statutory regulations. It is the responsibility of the owners and the users to ensure that the cylinders are periodically tested as per norms laid down in Gas Cylinder Rules, 2004 as amended from time-to-time and as enforced by statutory authorities under the rules.
The text of ISO standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain terminologies and conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standard. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:
a) Wherever the words 'International Standard' appear, referring to this standard, they should be read as 'Indian Standard'; and
b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker, while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
