NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 11315-2 : 1997 ‘Photography - Projection in indoor rooms - Part 2: Screen luminance test for still and video projection’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Photographic Equipment Sectional Committee and approval of the Mechanical Engineering Division Council.

This Indian standard supersedes IS 5673 : 1970 ‘Methods of tests for still projectors’. Under the title of Photography - Projection in indoor rooms, this standard is published in 4 parts. Other parts of the standard are as following:

Part 1 Screen illumination test for still projectors;

Part 3 Classification of transmitting projection screens and measurement of their transmitted luminance levels; and

Part 4 Reflection projection screens - Classification and measurement of reflected screen luminance levels and sound attenuation.
