NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 2) (First Revision) which is identical with ISO 13041-2: 2020 ‘Test conditions for numerically controlled turning machines and turning centres - Part 2: Geometric tests for machines with a vertical work holding spindle’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Machine Tools, Machine Tool Elements and Holding Devices Sectional Committee and approval of the Production and General Engineering Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 2016 based on ISO 13041-2 : 2008 ‘Test conditions for numerically controlled turning machines and turning centres - Part 2: Geometric tests for machines with a vertical work holding spindle’. The first revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 13041-2 : 2020.
