IS/ISO 13041-7 : 2004 Test Conditions for Numerically Controlled Turning Machines and Turning Centres Part 7 Evaluation of Contouring Performance in the Coordinate Planes ICS 25.040.20 PGD 35
Reaffirmed 2022
NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard (Part 7) which is identical with ISO 13041-7 : 2004 ‘Test conditions for numerically controlled turning machines and turning centres - Part 7: Evaluation of contouring performance in the coordinate planers’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Machine Tools, Machine Tool Elements and Holding Devices Sectional Committee and approval of the Production and General Engineering Division Council.
This standard is issued in eight parts. Other parts are:
Part 1 Geometric tests for machines with a horizontal workholding spindle
Part 2 Geometric tests for machines with a vertical workholding spindle
Part 3 Geometric tests for machines with inverted vertical workholding spindle
Part 4 Accuracy and repeatability of positioning of linear and rotary axes
Part 5 Accuracy of feeds, speeds and interpolations
Part 6 Accuracy of a finished test piece
Part 8 Evaluation of thermal distortions
The text of ISO Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain terminology and conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:
a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’.
b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
