IS/ISO 13373 : Part 2 : 2016 Condition Monitoring and Diagnostics of Machines — Vibration Condition Monitoring Part 2 Processing, Analysis and Presentation of Vibration Data
Reaffirmed 2021
NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard (Part 2) (First Revision) which is identical with ISO 13373-2 : 2016 ‘Condition monitoring and diagnostics of machines — Vibration condition monitoring — Part 2: Processing, analysis and presentation of vibration data’ issued by International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Mechanical Vibration and Shock Sectional Committee and approval of the Mechanical Engineering Division Council.
This standard was originally published in 2011 as IS/ISO 13373-2 : 2005 ‘Condition monitoring and diagnostics of machines — Vibration condition monitoring — Part 2: Processing analysis and presentation of vibration data’. The first revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 13373-2 : 2016.
This Indian Standard is published in several parts. Other parts in this series are:
Part 1 General procedures.
Part 3 Guidelines for vibration diagnosis
Part 9 Diagnostic techniques for electric motors
The text of ISO Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain terminologies and conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:
a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’.
b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker, while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
