NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 14005 : 2019 ‘Environmental management systems - Guidelines for a flexible approach to phased implementation’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Environmental Management Sectional Committee and approval of the Chemical Division Council.

This standard provides a guidance to the organizations to implement an EMS, using a phased approach to ultimately meet the requirements of ISO 14001.
