NATIONAL FOREWORD

The Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 14852 : 2021 ‘Determination of the ultimate aerobic biodegradability of plastic materials in an aqueous medium - Method by analysis of evolved carbon dioxide’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Methods of Sampling and Tests for Plastics Sectional Committee and approval of the Petroleum, Coal and Related Products Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 1999. The first revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 14852 : 2021.
