NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (First Revision) which is identical with ISO 15761 : 2020 ‘Steel gate, globe and check valves for sizes DN 100 and smaller, for the petroleum and natural gas industries’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Chemical Engineering Plants and Related Equipment Sectional Committee and approval of the Mechanical Engineering Division Council.

This standard was first published in 2011 and was identical with ISO 15761 : 2002 ‘Steel gate, globe and check valves for sizes DN 100 and smaller, for petroleum and natural gas industries’. The first revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 15761 : 2020.
