NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 6) which is identical with ISO 15883-6 : 2006 ‘Washer-disinfectors - Part 6: Requirements and tests for washer-disinfectors employing thermal disinfection for non-invasive, non-critical medical devices and healthcare equipment’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Hospital Equipment and Surgical Disposable Products Sectional Committee and approval of the Medical Equipment and Hospital Planning Division Council.

This standard is published in six parts. Other parts of this standard are:
