NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 4) (First Revision) which is identical with ISO 17090-4 : 2020 ‘Health informatics - Public key infrastructure - Part 4: Digital signatures for healthcare documents’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Health Informatics Sectional Committee and after approval of the Medical Equipment and Hospital Planning Division Council.

This standard was first published in 2019 as an identical adoption of ISO 17090-4 : 2008 ‘Health informatics - Public key infrastructure - Part 4: Digital signatures for healthcare documents’. This revision has been undertaken to align it with ISO 17090-4 : 2020.
